LESS SEARCHING · FEWER DECISIONS

Choose your sleep video before bed. Press Play later from the Lock Screen.

Tap4Sleep helps you make the choice while you are awake, so waking later does not have to mean unlocking your phone and navigating a bright screen.

The best nighttime search may be no search at all

YouTube playlists are useful for grouping videos, but opening the phone during the night still means unlocking it, viewing the screen and making choices. Tap4Sleep moves that work to before bed.

A personal night library has a narrower job: keep the small number of videos you already trust, then let you choose one as tonight’s video while you are still awake.

Build a small, recognizable library

Save only proven selectionsA short list is faster to scan than a large archive. Keep the recordings you actually return to.
Use notes you recognize immediatelyInstead of relying only on a creator’s title, add a personal cue such as “quiet voice,” “rain background,” “no music” or “helps after waking.”
Choose before bedOpen Tap4Sleep while you are still awake and select a trusted video from your saved night library.
Set it for tonightTap the app’s Set for Tonight control. Tap4Sleep opens the video in the native YouTube app. Start it, pause it, then lock your iPhone.

If you wake later, use the Lock Screen

With the video already staged in YouTube, the iPhone Lock Screen can show the media controls. If you wake later, press Play there instead of unlocking the phone, opening Tap4Sleep and choosing again.

  • Tap4Sleep: your private library and the before-bed choice of tonight’s video.
  • YouTube + iPhone: native playback, Premium background audio and the Lock Screen Play control.

This division keeps the nighttime interaction minimal: Tap4Sleep prepares; YouTube plays; the Lock Screen handles the restart.

Set up the routine once

Add and organize links during the day. Before bed, choose tonight’s video, open it through Tap4Sleep, start it in YouTube, pause it and lock the iPhone. If you wake later, the goal is to touch only Play on the Lock Screen.

If continuous audio matters to you, also check YouTube’s Sleep Timer and the AirPods setting called Pause Media When Falling Asleep. Either can intentionally stop playback.

Keep it personal: There is no universally best sleep recording. Tap4Sleep is designed around the videos you have already decided are useful to you.

Private by design

Your saved links, notes, categories and preferences stay in your browser’s local storage unless you choose to export a backup. No Tap4Sleep account or hosted personal library is required.

Opening a video sends you to YouTube, where Google’s usual privacy and usage policies apply.
